Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a singer that was born in Newark New Jersey on 9th August 1963. The parents of her are gospel singers Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. At the age of a small girl, Houston began performing professionally in the church choir. She sang backing vocals for Chaka Khosn's song from 1978 Im Every Woman with her mom. Jermaine, her mother and Lou Rawls were a few of those who she sang with. Also, she was a model for Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. Her singing with New York-based band Material attracted major record labels, including Arista. She signed with Arista in 1983 where she continued to work for the rest of her professional career. Whitney Houston, her debut album that debuted in 1985 was the highest-selling album for a debut singer. From the album, she had several smash singles, such as Saving the Day, All My Love for You How Do You Know You're a Good Person? and The Greater Love of All. This led to her achieving seven US Top Ones in a row. It was even better than the Beatles. The album itself sold 3 million copies during its first album's first year of release in the US and then went on to make 25 million copies worldwide, earning them the first six Grammys. Whitney was her first album. Whitney was released in 1987, featuring hit songs What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, continued her earlier success. But it came with The Bodyguard (1996) that established her as one of music's best sellers. Though the movie was not well-received and neither was her performance, the soundtrack to the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the number one spot on both the albums and singles charts in the United States for a period of time. She sold 44,000,000 copies. The daughter of her mother Bobbi was born in March in 1993. This was the year after she wed Bobby Brown. Around this time, her well-documented drug use started and in 1996, Bobbi Kristina Brown was using drugs daily.
Dana Bash (also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz) is a CNN anchorwoman and reporter for the political section of CNN. In the past, she has been the producer of shows on CNN, including Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'. When it comes to awards and honors Bash has been featured in Women in Washington Power List in Elle magazine. She is known to have incredible anchoring/reporting abilities and she's highly regarded by younger journalists. The only child she has is the pride of her life.
